Choquequirao Trek 5/6 Days

This trek is one of the most challenging, requiring a moderate to good physical condition.
We will pass through different ecosystems with varied landscapes and vegetation, such as dry valleys, tropical forest, highland jungle, puna, views of snow-capped mountains, and much more.
We will visit the imposing archaeological site of Choquequirao, considered the last stand of the Incas, which the Spanish of the time never reached in the Apurimac Valley.
We will climb the Vilcabamba mountain range and cross into the Urubamba River Valley, home to the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu, another place the conquistadors also never reached.
This trip is suitable for adventurous travelers who love nature, mountains, and challenges.
NOTE:
The 5-day, 4-night program ends in the district of Santa Teresa or Hidroeléctrica. Depending on the client, they can choose to return to Cusco that same day or continue to Machu Picchu, adding an extra day.
The return to Cusco depends on the client’s budget and time.
Return by car: approximately 6 hours.
Return by train and then bus from Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco: approximately 4 hours.
Services during the trek, such as lodging and meals, are provided by the local population living along the trail, thus supporting the local economy of each family.
